Sigrid Grobys - Naturopathic Doctor

Sigrid Grobys is a naturopathic doctor who uses homeopathic remedies, herbal medicine, nutritional counselling and acupressure to treat various health conditions and help patients achieve a greater sense of well-being. After completing her Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at McGill University, she continued her medical education at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, and was awarded the Governor’s Award for Academic and Clinical Excellence in Canada.

Currently the resident naturopath at COMO Shambhala Urban Escape, and a consultant to SuperNature, Sigrid is an expert in kids’ nutrition, food preparation and food labeling. A highly qualified nutritionist, Eve is a Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She is one of only 3,500 medical professionals globally to hold Certified Nutrition Support Nutrition (CNSC) credentials with the American Society of Nutrition Support Clinicians and has extensive experience providing nutritional therapies in intensive care hospital settings.

Eve's expertise is therefore rooted in science-based knowledge, and has expanded to encompass independent consultancy. She provides comprehensive anthropometric and biochemical assessments, personalised therapeutic dietary recommendations, and guidance with meal planning and preparation, and supplementation as needed. She frequently collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support the 360-degree, holistic treatment of her clients and works with them on issues including weight loss, food allergies, gastrointestinal dysfunction, pediatrics, women's health, chronic disease and sports nutrition. She is now also available for private nutrition consultations at COMO Shambhala Urban Escape.

Joanne Barber - Certified Organic Consultant

Joanne Barber is an international health product consultant specialising in certified organic, non-GMO, grass-fed, free-range products that are also free from synthetic chemicals, antibiotics and hormones. An all-round synthetic chemical and environmentally conscious expert with a passion for organic whole foods, a health scare turned her life towards reducing all the unknown ingredients from her diet. This experience led her to discover more about the impact conventional food consumption can have on our health. Joanne developed extensive knowledge on the environmental and healing benefits of the consumption of organic wholefoods. These include, - but are not limited to - plants, herbs, good fats and oils, leafy green vegetables and ethically raised animals.

In 2003, Joanne owned and managed a certified organic skincare business, which led to work as an auditor for organic producers, processors, wholesalers and retailers. This included auditing on behalf of internationally recognised certified organic standards, such as USDA, Australia National Standard (OFC) and Japanese Agricultural Standard (JAS).

Joanne's commitment to the certified organic industry moved to a new level when she was invited to join the National Standards Sub-Committee to maintain and ensure rigour within the certified organic standards in Australia. She was also employed by ACO (Australia's largest organic certifier) as an executive certified organic consultant, where she implemented Australian Organic's current commercial and marketing strategy. Today, Joanne works with entrepreneurs and world business leaders to create change to beneficially impact our environment, health and social wellbeing.

Joanne is currently working with SuperNature to train and educate their staff on the principles of certified organic agriculture and production. This includes developing modules on specialised topics such as toxicity accumulation in the body; consumption of organic food and its environmental health benefits; and building body resilience by creating your own family purchasing standards.
